  • Depending upon the time of your ceremony and the distance from my house, I may charge for overnight accommodations for me at a hotel or AirBnB

Package two

I want Uncle Bob to marry me!

$125+

  • I love that you have a wonderful relationship with Uncle Bob, and, of course, he can marry you. The stickler is if the courts recognize his ability to perform a legal ceremony. If the court does not ... I have an easy solution! I will meet with you a few hours prior to your actual ceremony and perform a legal marriage. Your guests will be none the wiser. 
  • The price includes elopement vows and a meeting with you and Uncle Bob to go over the particulars of your ceremony. This meeting can take place immediately after we do the legal ceremony or via Zoom a week or so prior to the ceremony.
  • I will charge round trip mileage at $0.625/per mile and $25 to process the license, if you obtained your license outside of Essex County.
  • Payment in full is due electronically within 24 hours after confirming the date, but no later than the evening before the wedding, whichever occurs first. Payment is non-refundable unless an officiant is unavailable due to an emergency.

Elope at Rock Spring

$75

  • Elopement wedding vows delivered by a licensed officiant
  • Choice of locations at Rock Spring* 
  • Five digital photographs of the couple taken by the officiant with her iPhone; delivered via e-mail.
  • Use of the grounds for up to 30 minutes for the ceremony and photography
  • No guests
  • Payment in full is due electronically within 24 hours after confirming the date, but no later than the evening before the wedding, whichever occurs first. Payment is non-refundable unless an officiant is unavailable due to an emergency.

Simple DIY Ceremony at Rock Spring

  • Choice of outside locations at Rock Spring* 
  • Wedding arbor to decorate as you like**
  • Limit 10 people, including the bride, groom and children older than one year.
  • Five digital photographs of the couple taken by the officiant with her iPhone; delivered via e-mail.
  • Use of the grounds for up to 60 minutes 
  • Payment in full is due electronically within 24 hours after confirming the date, but no later than the evening before the wedding, whichever occurs first. Payment is non-refundable unless an officiant is unavailable due to an emergency.

The Sunroom

  • Use of the property, by appointment, for engagement photos and bridal photo portrait, if using a professional photographer
  • Standard wedding vows delivered by a licensed officiant
  • Ceremony held in The Sunroom; decorated as shown in the pictures
  • Use of a wedding bouquet made of silk flowers 
  • The bride will have use of The Retreat for 30 minutes prior to the wedding; guests will have use of the bathroom
  • Cake and Sparkling Cider Reception included 
  • Limit 10 people, including the bride, groom and children older than one year old.
  • Five digital photographs of the couple taken by the officiant with her iPhone; delivered via e-mail.
  • Use of the grounds and The Sunroom for up to 90 minutes for the ceremony, reception and photography

  • The bride will have use of The Retreat for 30 minutes prior to the wedding; guests will have use of the bathroom.
  • Use of the Wedding Pavilion for up to two hours
  • Limit 10 people, including the bride, groom and children older than one year old.
  • Payment in full is due electronically within 48 hours after confirming the date, but no later than the evening before the wedding, whichever occurs first. Payment is non-refundable unless an officiant is unavailable due to an emergency.

Ceremony and Small Reception

  • Use of The Cottage for up to 24 hours*
  • Use of The Retreat*  
  • Use of a 10x10 canopy tent 
  • Limit 10 people, including the bride, groom and children older than one year old.
  • Guests may arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony and stay up to two hours after the ceremony 
  • Payment in full is due electronically within 48 hours after confirming the date, but no later than the evening before the wedding, whichever occurs first. Payment is non-refundable unless an officiant is unavailable due to an emergency.   
  • Alcohol - If the couple chooses to serve beer and wine only, they must purchase a Banquet License from the Virginia ABC and an event liability policy naming Weddings at Rock Spring LLC and Silvers Family Trust as additionally insured.   • Security Deposit - The wedding party is responsible for the behavior of their guests and vendors. Weddings at Rock Spring requires a $500 security deposit, if the couple decides to serve alcohol, to protect against damage and theft. The security deposit will be returned to the financially responsible party within 30 days minus any charges for damage or theft, if any.

*The bride will have use of The Retreat or The Cottage to prepare for the wedding. The groom will have use of the other facility to get ready. The wedding party will have use of The Cottage and the canopy tent for a reception at the couple's expense. The caterer will have use of The Cottage. The caterer/wedding party is responsible for all cleanup and trash removal. The newlyweds may stay overnight in The Cottage; guests will have use of both bathrooms. In the event of inclement weather and during the winter months, a brief marriage ceremony will take place in The Cottage.

Package eight

Venue Rental

$2,500+

  • Five hours, including ceremony and reception 
  • Limit 30 people, including the bride, groom and children older than one year. 
  • Rehearsal - One hour rehearsal any available day prior to the ceremony by appointment.
  • Photography - Use of the property, by appointment, for engagement photos and bridal photo portrait, if using a professional photographer
  • Ceremony - A licensed officiant will work with the couple to prepare a personalized ceremony not to exceed 30 minutes (you may use your own officiant, if you choose); the ceremony may take place at a site of the couple's choosing. Guests may arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled ceremony. The bride will be transported from the AirBnB to the wedding site in a 1936 Packard, if she chooses.
  • Reception - The reception will be held in the field between the main house and the barn. For tent rental and reception set up, contact Megan Ashley Waple with River Bliss and Events: riverblissevents@gmail.com; (703) 407-5286; https://river-bliss-events-rentals.business.site 
  • Caterer - You may bring your own caterer, or work with one of our preferred vendors. The caterer will have use of the cottage as needed and is responsible for all food- and beverage-related clean up prior to leaving the venue. 
  • Parking - Parking is in the front field near The Cottage; handicap parking is close to the reception venue.
  • Bathrooms - Guests may use the Porta Potties in the barn.  
  • Alcohol - If the couple chooses to serve alcohol, they must purchase a Banquet License from the Virginia ABC and an event liability policy naming Weddings at Rock Spring LLC and Silvers Family Trust as additionally insured.   • Alcohol - If the couple chooses to serve alcohol, they must pay to hire a bartender (one of our vendors) and a security guard (one of our vendors). No outside alcohol. Alcohol selections are limited to beer, wine and mixed drinks; no shots, straight alcohol or moonshine. The bar will close one hour before the wedding contract end time.
  • Vendors - Vendors may have access to the property, as needed, provided they contact Weddings at Rock Spring LLC, in writing, at least one week prior to the wedding ceremony with their time requirements. Unless agreed to in writing at least one week prior to the wedding date, the vendor must remove all equipment, trash, etc. from the venue within 90 minutes of the wedding contract end time.
  • Accommodations - The wedding party will have access to The Cottage for 24 hours. The wedding party will have access to The Retreat until the end of the five-hour rental. The bride will have use of either facility to dress prior to the ceremony. The groom will have use of the other facility to dress prior to the ceremony. The bride and groom may spend their wedding night in The Cottage. Check out time is 24 hours after initial check-in.
  • Payment - If the wedding will take place within six months of the contract date, a non-refundable payment in full to secure the venue is due electronically within 48 hours to confirm the date. A $1,500 security deposit will be due 30 days prior to the wedding date. 
  • Payment - If the wedding will take place more than six months from the contract date, a 50% non-refundable payment to secure the venue is due electronically within 48 hours to confirm the date. The non-refundable balance will be due 30 days prior to the wedding date.  
  • Security Deposit - The wedding party is responsible for the behavior of their guests and vendors. Weddings at Rock Spring requires a $1,500 security deposit to protect against damage and theft. The security deposit will be due 30 days prior to the wedding date. The security deposit will be returned to the financially responsible party within 30 days minus any charges for damage or theft, if any.

You may rent the venue for five hours for $2,500. The five hours includes the ceremony and the reception for up to 50 people total, including the wedding party and children older than one year.


We require a bartender and security officer .
